African Turquoise
The stone of evolution
Despite its name, African turquoise isn't turquoise at all. It's a speckled jasper from Africa, in teal and sea-green with darker natural matrix, and is often treated or stabilised to deepen its colour. It's harder-wearing than true turquoise.
In crystal lore it's called a stone of evolution, associated with growth, change and fresh starts.

Caring for African Turquoise
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Keep away from perfume, lotions and household cleaners, and take it off for the gym, swimming and the washing-up. Store in its pouch so harder stones can't scratch it.
