A green mica: muscovite coloured by chromium, whose fine layered flakes glitter as light catches them. It is the sparkle in green aventurine, and is named after the German mineralogist Johann Nepomuk von Fuchs.

Caring for Fuchsite
A softer stone that rewards a little care. Put it on last, after perfume and hairspray, and take it off before washing, swimming or exercise. Wipe with a dry soft cloth only and store on its own in its pouch.
