Pink Rhodonite
The rose stone
Rhodonite is a manganese mineral, rose pink and often veined with black manganese oxide, so every bead carries its own markings. Its name comes from the Greek rhódon, meaning “rose”. It was a favourite for carving in imperial Russia, where the finest comes from the Ural Mountains, and it's the official gemstone of Massachusetts.
In crystal lore, rhodonite is associated with compassion, forgiveness and emotional balance.

Caring for Pink Rhodonite
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Keep away from perfume, lotions and household cleaners, and take it off for the gym, swimming and the washing-up. Store in its pouch so harder stones can't scratch it.
